    About Valour

    Welcome to Valour Multi-Academy Trust

Valour Multi-Academy Trust is a family of two primary schools, Beech Hill Primary School and Walbottle Village Primary School, serving communities in the west of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Led by Interim Chief Executive Officer Kate Chisholm, Valour is committed to providing high-quality, inclusive education where every child is supported to thrive, achieve and develop a strong sense of belonging.

At the heart of our Trust is a simple but powerful commitment: every child should feel Happy, Safe and Loved.

We believe that every child deserves an ambitious education, rich in opportunity and shaped by high expectations, positive relationships and a deep understanding of individual needs.

Our schools have their own distinctive identities, histories and communities. We value and celebrate these differences while working collaboratively to share expertise, strengthen leadership and continually improve the quality of education we provide.

Our approach is underpinned by three guiding principles:

    • Clarity – a shared understanding of our purpose, priorities and expectations.

    • Communication – open, honest and constructive relationships across our schools and communities.

    • Consistency – ensuring our values and expectations are reflected in the everyday experiences of children, families and staff.

We are committed to developing strong, sustainable schools where staff are valued, professional expertise is nurtured and resources are used responsibly to secure the best possible outcomes for children.

Through collaboration, thoughtful leadership and a relentless focus on improvement, we aim to ensure that every child leaves our schools equipped with the knowledge, confidence, character and ambition to embrace future opportunities.

    Our Commitment to Children

Across Valour, we are united by our commitment to providing an ambitious, inclusive and nurturing education.

We recognise that children arrive at school with different experiences, strengths and needs. Our responsibility is to ensure that every child has access to excellent teaching, meaningful opportunities and the support necessary to succeed.

Inclusion is central to our approach. We are committed to identifying additional needs early, removing barriers to learning and working closely with families and external partners to ensure that children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, are supported effectively.

    Education and Opportunity

Our schools provide ambitious, carefully sequenced curricula designed to develop children's knowledge, understanding and skills over time.

Alongside academic achievement, we place great importance on personal development, enrichment and the experiences that help children discover their interests, build confidence and develop character.

We want our children to be curious, resilient and ambitious, with the confidence to contribute positively to their communities and the wider world.

    Working Together to Improve

We believe that successful schools are built on strong relationships, effective leadership and a culture of continuous professional learning.

Our schools work collaboratively to share expertise, develop staff and strengthen educational practice, while retaining the individuality and strengths of their respective communities.

We are committed to honest self-evaluation, evidence-informed improvement and ensuring that our decisions are always guided by what is best for children.

Our ambition is simple: two strong, sustainable and inclusive schools where every child is Happy, Safe and Loved, and where every child has the opportunity to flourish.
